I installed omniORB which used python27 and seemed to go ok.
Then I tried:
port install openmodelica-devel -qt which seemed to get quite far but then failed....

Yes, r19150 is broken on all platforms I hope to fix them soon. Else, the openmodelica or openmodelica-release packages should work at the moment.
