how to use a pipe(partialstraightpipe) with the source(Boundary_ph)

Hiii
Im trying to connect the pipe to the boundary (Boundary_ph) im getting a dailog box which asks me to enter a valid positive number.
I enter 1 and the connection fails!
How is this supposed to be done!!
