Aha gives me pleasure to close my own thread..in th emodelica standard library under utilities we have a function
to read parameters from a text file. Use this inside a record and run using GenOPT..was fun

Hello fellow programmers,

Im doing optimisation coupling GenOPT and Modelica(Dymola). GenOPT requires text input for it to function. One way to do it is to use combitables which take
input from a text file.Im looking into ways to improve the process/layout by using the class record instead of many combitables.

Is there a way to take an input into the class record from an external text file.
