Our goal was to test FMI Co-Simulation between MSC Adams (slave) and OpenModelica (master). However, FMU import in OpenModelica OMEdit seems not to be working correctly.
According to FMI-standard organization, OpenModelica should have support available for acting as a master in Co-Simulation. For testing the Co-Simulation, an FMU was created using MSC Adams. The self-created test FMU seem to go through the import process without any errors, but nothing was imported into the Modelica model.
The Model-Exchange was also tested, which should be available according to FMI-standard organization. This was carried out by using test FMUs that where provided by the FMI-standard organization, same error was always confronted: “No viable alternative near token: enumeration”. Using the testsuite FMU model (CPUCooling.fmu) that is provided by OpenModelica, everything seem to work fine: import creates the FMU block and the simulation runs.
The FMU-standard organization provides a compliance tool for testing FMUs. Our own Co-Simulation test FMU passes the test without any problems. Also the test FMUs of the FMU-standard organization pass the test. I also tested these FMUs on a demo version of Dymola, and at least the importing was successful being a demo version not capable of running the actual simulation.
These experiments were carried using FMI 1.0 with win 32 versions of FMUs.
