Modelling spring/damper driven by rotating crankshaft
Modelling spring/damper driven by rotating crankshaft
Hi
I'm trying to model a spring/damper system driven by a rod connected to a rotating crankshaft, but I can't work out how to model the crankshaft (either rotating at a constant speed or with a constant input torque) in OMEdit. I think I need to use the mechanics multibody parts and joints to build that part of the model but I don't know which of the library parts to use, and how to make it rotate around one end, rather than around its axis.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Clare

Hi,
You could try asking this on:

as you get more modelers there.
