Simulink alternative "interactive mode"

Simulink alternative "interactive mode"

Hi all

I know that this topic has been discussed before : https://openmodelica.org/index.php/forum/topic?id=134 .However, its an old topic. I have read that the "interactive mode" has been removed from Open Modelica. This is sad for me because the only software that supports this feature is Simulink which is costy. Im wondering if there is a way/solution to get around this issue. I have both windows and Linux and I dont mind to write a code if its practical and necessary. Im building a network testbed and I want to emulate a power plant that is part of that network. I think I will need the interactive mode feature in order for me to control the input data via tcp. Any tips/links/tools would be appreciated.

Sulaiman
